Pokemon Unite, the first multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game involving Pokemon characters.

MOBA games involve fighting two teams. This genre has become popular thanks to the success of games like Dota 2 or League of Legends.

So in Pokemon Unite, two teams, each consisting of 5 gamers, will fight.

In an event titled Pokemon Presents which was held online, Nintendo officially announced its newest game, Pokemon Unite for Android, iOS, and Nintendo Swicth.

Pokemon Unite is the first Pokemon game with the popular genre Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA). This game is a collaboration between Nintendo and Tencent.

This game was made by Timi Studios, a subsidiary of Tencent, which has experience making Honor of Kings or Arena of Valor. Pokemon Unite can be played for free.

The Pokemon played are various. Including Pikachu, Clefable, Gengar, Snorlax, Lucario, Squirtle, Charmander and others.

As the level of the game goes up, the Pokemon being played can have new abilities. What's more, the game can be played across platforms between Switches, Android phones or iOS devices.

Unfortunately, the information has not been stated when Pokemon Unite was officially launched. Probably still a few months.

In the 11-minute trailer uploaded on Nintendo YouTube, Pokemon Unite appears to present a 5 vs 5 gameplay that is similar to other MOBA games. The most striking difference is seen in the shape of the arena.

Pokemon Unite has a long form of arena that stretches to the side (horizontally), where the player's team base will be on the left side, while the opposing team's base will be on the right side of the arena.

The main objective in the Pokemon Unite game is to collect as many points as possible. Players can earn points by fighting and catching wild Pokemon passing through the arena. After defeating wild Pokemon, player Pokemon characters can also level up and evolve. When leveling up, Pokemon players will get various skill options, from ranged skills to melee skills. Thus, players can control what skills will be used during battle.

During play, players will encounter opposing teams throughout the arena. On this occasion, players can fight against the opposing team and get the points they have previously collected. However, Nintendo is still reluctant to provide information on when the first Pokemon MOBA game will be launched.
