Gears of War 4 on PC will support 4K resolution

After Gears of War Definitive Edition received criticism for not meeting current PC game standards, the developer The Coalition, who is currently developing the Gears of War game series, announced that they will present the latest quality graphics for the PC version of Gears of War 4.

This was conveyed directly by the Technical Director of The Coalition, Mike Rayner, who also said that Gears of War 4 on PC will support 4K resolution with unlimited framerates.

"Support for the v-sync tearing feature is already on the Universal Windows Platform (UWP), so that the framerate in Gears of War 4 can no longer be limited," Rayner told PC GAMER. "Powered by Unreal Engine 4, we will bring the highest quality graphics for PC players."

However, Rayner said that the multiplayer system in Gears of War 4 will have framerate locked at 60fps. This is because this game is cross-platform, so PC players can meet Xbox One players.

This game is also one of the games included in the Play Anywhere program announced by Microsoft at the E3 2016 event yesterday.

Some of the other graphic features that will be present on other PCs include support for ultra-wide monitors, and graphic textures up to 4K resolution. The PC version of Gears of War will also have a special benchmark mode, and will come with a control system that can be customized according to the wishes of the players.
